Just Toss Me Overboard

This week we continue our series in the book of Jonah, looking at chapter 1, verses 11-12.  In this passage we come to the point and time where Jonah is at a crossroads in his life.  But does he even see it as a crossroads?  Doesn’t he think his only option is for them to toss him overboard verse 12 (suicide! remember, he knows nothing of his future great fish transport)?  Does he even consider God?  The truth is he does have another option!  He can repent and ask God for forgiveness, and then tell the sailors to turn the ship around and drop him off at the closest port to Ninevah!  This is TRUE REPENTANCE! Jonah is at a crossroads; what will he choose?  Well we know the answer to that.  And what God does then…

Are you standing at the crossroads of your life?  What (Who) will you choose? God has been working on your heart.  Do you have a storm raging in your heart?  Will you choose God, or choose self, sin, your own way?  In this message we will look at 2 examples of how this crossroads decision can go.

More on this Sunday morning…

See you Sunday, Pastor Weaver
