Why Do We Fight?: James 4: 1-3

Our text for this Sunday morning is James 3:13-18.  James, in this passage, talks about fighting among believers.  Why do humans fight, argue, slander and otherwise hurt each other by words and actions?  James bluntly asks the question and then answers it for us.  “Don’t they come from your own sinful cravings at war? It’s because humans want what they want, and they’re not depending on God; “they don’t have what God wants them to have because they don’t ask” (v. 2)!  God wants us to know the source of fighting for us to be able to stop it.

Do you fight?  Do you always have to have everything your way? This passage has answers that will help you.
